Remember Real ID, the worst idea in MMO gaming (or so people thought) since the NGE for Star Wars Galaxies? Well, after dropping the "real name" part of the equation, Blizzard's continued to innovate with the concept, and today announced that World of Warcraft players could use Real ID to set up five-man cross-realm parties with their Real ID friends.
The Real ID Party Feature allows players of the same faction (Horde or Alliance) to find each other and group up for five-man normal or Heroic dungeons, regardless of realm. Your Real ID friends will be noted on your friends list and inviting them to your group is as easy as murdering murlocs. If you don't have enough for a party, you can fill out the remaining roles by using the Dungeon Finder.
