There's still no official release date, but you can start giving BioWare your money right now by pre-ordering Star Wars: The Old Republic. Three packages are being offered on the TOR pre-order site: the Standard Edition, Digital Deluxe Edition, and Collector's Edition, each of which comes with the opportunity to access the game early. Whenever that is.
All three packages also come with 30 days of game time and a color stone in-game item, which lets you change the color of your lightsaber blade or blaster bolt. The Digital Deluxe Edition also comes with the following in-game items: a flare gun, training droid, holodancer, holocam, and STAP in-game vehicle.
The Collector's Edition comes with all of the above, plus a mouse droid in-game item and the Collector's Edition Store, called "Unique in-game store with a dynamic array of items to assist you from your humble beginnings through your journey to become a galactic legend," as well as a host of real-world goodies, such as a Darth Malgus statue by Gentle Giant, collectible metal case for the disks, the Journal of Master Gnost-Dural, galaxy map, security authentication key, and music CD, all in a high-quality collector's box.
The Standard Edition retails for $59.99, Digital Deluxe Edition for $79.99, and the Collector's Edition for $149.99. Oh, and we're not sure if it means anything or if it's just a placeholder (likely), but the Amazon page for the CE says it will be out on December 31. We'll believe it when we see it.
