Existing subscribers of City of Heroes will be among the first to try out the newly renovated F2P CoH experience, starting tomorrow, September 13. In addition to providing new content, NCSoft and Paragon Studios have plenty of events planned to commemorate the events, including contests and sales in the all-new Paragon Market.
The new co-op zone, First Ward, will be open for play in this headstart, and VIP players will also be able to participate in the new Death From Below and Underground Incarnate Trials with members of the CoH Community Team. All you need to participate is an active VIP (subscriber) account, or to sign up for a VIP account before the F2P switch goes live later this year. There will also be costume contests, judged by the development team, and massive live invasions by Praetoria and Hamidon for players to fend off.
