I am a gamer with PTSD and multiple brain injuries (TBI). A Doctor told me to start playing games to make new pathways in my brain. He didn't tell me that gamers would bring the outside world into my limited world ... I have the opportunity to interact with people of all ages from around the world. How great is that?
There are times that I can't play games because of a flare up of the PTSD or something happens in my brain and I can't remember my friends or even how to play the games. If I should ever forget you, please don't be mad, just remind me. If I don't remember even then, I will keep thinking about it and usually it comes back to me. If it is the PTSD flaring up, well, I just have to wait until it passes.
I am the way I am. I didn't ask for these problems and did not cause them. Others caused them due to negligence, anger, or something I hope that you never experience. I am the epitome of imperfection but that is ok because we all have something we lack ... we all battle something ... it is only important that we keep trying and are tolerant of others.
I started playing Wizard101 in Beta with my Pioneer dragon named Taz. I changed his name (and I guess his gender, too, now that I think of it) to Emma to honor a young Wizard101 player named, Emma Bradford, who died.
I love the Wizard101 articles in Beckett's Massive Online Gamer magazine. It takes me hours to pour through. I re-read the issues, as well, even if they are "old". I also subscribe to Beckett's Fun Online mag, which also has codes for Wizard101 items.
Jason Winter, Eric Peterson, and Tom Purdue rock and Eric Bloom truly rocks. I named one of my Lego Universe characters, Taarna, and someone once said to me "I didn't think anyone else but me would know that name." I am slow with the chat and he had left before I could say anything. My first thought was that maybe it was Eric playiing Lego Universe. We know he plays Wizard101 and made Wizard101 history when he spoke the words of Snorri Oysterbloom, in Grizzleheim.
Wizard101 players are 99% awesome. When my Mom died, I rec'd so much kindness and support from the wizards who knew. We talked about death and our loved ones. You would be surprised to know just how many young wizards have experienced the loss of a loved one. We were able to chat and grieved together. That experience is very precious to me.
Wizard101 staff are caring beyond belief. They will search your "backpack" and "bank" to find a lost item. They will retrieve your item, even if you goof up. Other companies would probably say, "too bad".
I also love Lego Universe, though it has become difficult for me to play. I love the humor and whimsy of the Lego characters and the creative missions ... I am avid racer ... Check me out in my pink convertible beating the boys/men even if they try to run me off the road so they can win. lol
And, Minecraft, how addicting is that game? And how wonderful is Notch and the other staff? If there ever was a Santa Claus like figure ... a man who looks kind and loving ... wouldn't you say Notch is like that? I usually play on the "peaceful" setting. I did try ... what is it called ... the stressful battling setting? I did but played inside my house more than exploring.
I love to explore. That is why I love playing Beta games. I explore. See you on the Spiral or in a game.

Games I'm Playing
I am probably playing every Beta you find on the internet, at least to level 5. The games that I play consistently are Wizard101, Lego Universe, and Minecraft. I stopped subscribing to Club Penguin (after 3 years) when they brought back and sold rare items without bothering to even change the color.
