I've only recently started playing DDO, and I like it. The dungeon master voice-over that narrates the action makes it feel like a pen and paper game. Having to turn around to hit enemies, not having an auto attack, adds to the realism. They follow the 3.5 rules very well. The only complaint I have is that you have to gain 5 ranks to gain a level. Each rank gives you a point that can be spent to make your character better. Maybe this is an Eberron thing, I never played in that world as a pen and paper player. The adventures are well suited to solo play, as I am usually playing alone, but I'm certain a group would have just as much fun. I have noticed a few places where you can be unable to get a treasure or open a door if you do not have the right class in your group, but these problems are few. The quests are easy to find and there are even bonus quests that count things like exploring your surroundings or killing powerful monsters. These add to a great game and make it really great.
