NDA For EverQuest II: Sentinel's Fate Officially Lifted

E-mail Print

EQ2armor_scale1Want to talk about Sentinel's Fate, the 6th expansion to hit EverQuest II? Now you can! The NDA has been lifted (you can read the announcements on the official SOE forums here), and we've got some of the juicy details right here!

Players will be able to level to 90, raising the current cap of 80 by 10 levels. This includes adventuring and tradeskill levels. There are two new overland zones: the Sundered Frontier and the Stone Brunt Highlands. There are 12 dungeons, and over 400 new quests. There are five new heritage quests, and over 2,000 new weapons and pieces of armor and items, as well as are new alternate advancement paths for players to select. This expansion opens up the legend of Odus, with a rich history and some fantastic lore. Cross-server battlegrounds will also be making their way in game (which I'll get into more detail about later on). What's not to be excited about?

I was lucky enough to partake in a tour of Sentinel's Fate during its beta stages, run by Christie "Kiara" Renzatti and Brett "Timetravelling" Scheinert. We started out in the Sundered Frontier, between the giant wizard spires that would lead players to Odus. It really is a magnificent sight, and it wasn't long before we were whisked away to the City of Paineel, which is unlike any city I had ever seen before.

That's all I'm going to leave you with for now! If you want to read more about this exciting expansion you're going to want to pick up the next issue of Beckett Massive Online Gamer (#24) when it releases next month and keep checking back on our web site for more information. I'll be posting pictures to our gallery as well as posting more about some of the changes players can expect to see in Sentinel's Fate, including achievements and crafting. As always you can head to our Beckett MOG forums to tell us what you think of this next expansion. What aspect are you most looking forward to? Battlegrounds? A new level cap? Perhaps the lands of Odus themselves are enough to entice you. We want to hear it!
