VoVhoGot a sweet image of your favorite MMO character that you’re dying to share with the world? Or did you just discover an amazing location in your online journeys that was so breathtaking that you had to preserve it? Share it with the world by entering the MassiveOnlineGamer.com screenshot contest! Not only will your image be seen by the thousands who visit our site, but you can also win a year’s subscription to Massive Online Gamer!

Entering is simple. Just send your screenshot to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. with the subject “Screenshot Contest.” Make sure to mention the game your shot is from, as well as any details about your character (name, race, class, etc.) you want to include, as well as a brief description (100 words or less) of the shot itself. You do not have to give your real name.

Entries must be received by Friday, March 5. Shortly thereafter, our editors will look over all the entries and pick three winners. Those winners will each receive a year’s subscription to MOG (or a year’s extension for current subscribers) and have their screenshots viewed and adored by the site’s visitors – and the very best will be considered for possible inclusion in a future issue of the magazine!

There are, naturally, a few rules for submissions:

  • Only one entry per e-mail account. Multiple entries will be disqualified. (If you have lots of great screenshots, don’t worry, we might be making this a regular feature!)
  • Unaltered screenshots only. Please do not edit your images before submission.
  • Keep it clean – PG-rated images and subject matter only.

Finally, we have a few suggestions to help your screenshot stand out. Here’s what we’re (usually) not looking for:

  • Simple “head-on” shots of your character.
  • User interface clutter. Try to take your shot without UI elements, if possible.
  • Major boss kills. It’s great that you took down the Uber Death Wizard, but so have a lot of people. We want something a little more unique.
  • Excessive gore. While violence is a part of most MMOs, try to avoid any “gushing blood from decapitation”-type shots (Age of Conan players, we’re looking at you).

Good luck!
