SOE has announced that DC Universe Online will go free-to-play this Tuesday, Nov. 1, opening up its servers to heroes far and wide for the low, low price of nothing. Players can choose to play completely free or use one of two payment options for access to expanded features.
Current DCUO subscribers will automatically be granted the highest status of Legendary, with full access to all the game's features. You can also become Legendary by continuing to pay a $14.99 monthly subscription fee. Free players who spend at least $5 will receive Premium status, while all other players will be given Free status. Content packs will be free for Legendary subscribers, but other tiers of players will have to pay for each one.
