DALLAS, TX (Oct 1, 2009) - The November/December 2009 issue of Beckett Massive Online Gamer, Beckett Media LLC's leading publication about MMORPGs, pays homage to the best and brightest female minds in online gaming today with a feature article titled "Top 10 Most Influential Women of MMOs." The article comes on the heels of Massive Online Gamer's "Top 20 Most Influential People in the MMO Industry" article, printed in the magazine's July/August issue.
"We polled industry veterans and the IDGA's [International Game Developers Association] Women in Games SIG, as well as MOG readers," writes the article's author, Carolyn Koh. "The response was gratifying and included 20-year veterans, as well as newcomers showing more and more of their creative ideas and their potential every day."
The highlighted women include: Yvonne Bridges, Tracy Seamster (Zenimax/Behesda Softworks), Kristen Demeza, Melissa Meyer (Blizzard Entertainment), Torrie Dorrell, Laralyn McWilliams, Rosie Rappaport (Sony Online Entertainment), Irena Pereira (38 Studios), Em Stock (Paragon Studios), and Courtney Brown Simmons (Disney Interactive). The list covers women in all parts of the MMO industry, from programmers and game designers to marketing gurus and executives.
